Watercolour of geranium Henry Joineaux

The art of the garden

This delicate watercolour of the geranium Henry Joignot was painted by one of our Frameyard volunteers, Vivienne Johansson. Vivienne is a talented botanical artist and a Friend of the Society of Botanical Artists, London. She is also a keen gardener and her art work has allowed her to combine both passions with beautiful results. She “looks at flowers with a view to painting them”.

Vivienne studied in Dublin at the National College of Art and Design and with the Society of Botanical Artists in London. Her work has been exhibited in Dublin.

Vivienne’s prints and original watercolours (illustrated below) will be for sale in the Fota House Shop which is being re-launched and expanded on December 4th, 2016.

FOTA Frameyard sells many types of zonal, scented and regal geraniums and pelargoniums.
